Therapeutic homes where children feel protected, loved, rooted and empowered

My Tribe Homes creates relational developmental communities where children can experience safety, belonging, therapeutic care, positive routines and developmental growth.

OUR PURPOSE

We exist to transform the lives of
vulnerable children.

We seek to bring light, joy, safety and abundance to precious young lives that have been unjustly blighted by darkness, scarcity and insecurity. We are relentless in seeking to radically improve our children's experiences, opportunities, environment, and ultimately their sense of self-worth and self-belief.

Our tribe of skilled, therapeutic practitioners do this through love, through everyday empathic connection, attuned responses, and positive routines. We hold warmth and care alongside clear boundaries and high expectations, creating the conditions in which children can begin to feel safe, valued, and capable.

Every smile, every moment of connection, every small step forward is a moment to cherish. We know we are getting it right when a child begins to see a different future for themselves and is set on a path towards realising it.

THE VALUES WE LIVE BY

The way we choose to show up for children and for one another.

We commit to a shared way of being that empowers us to flourish together, whilst celebrating the unique strengths, personalities and gifts each person brings into the community.

Own The Mission

This work matters.

Owning the mission means holding the child's whole life in mind, especially when they cannot. It means connecting today's decisions to tomorrow's possibilities, following through on commitments and staying focused on helping each child build a different future.

We are not simply completing tasks. We are helping to shape lives.

Relationships First

Healing happens through relationships.

Relationships First means investing time in connection, being emotionally available, holding boundaries within relationship and understanding that trust is built through hundreds of small moments of consistency. It means seeing the child beyond the behaviour and staying present when things are difficult.

Strong homes and strong systems are built on strong relationships. We believe every part of the organisation should help create a secure base from which children and adults can grow, take risks, repair and thrive.

Relationships are not separate from the work. They are the work.

Bring The Spark

Hope matters. Energy matters. Joy matters.

Children who have experienced trauma need more than safety. They need experiences that reconnect them with possibility, curiosity and delight. Bringing the Spark means bringing warmth, encouragement, humour, creativity and belief into the home. It means creating moments that remind children life can be good.

Sometimes the greatest gift an adult brings is the energy they carry into the room.

Better Never Stops

Growth is part of the journey for all of us.

We believe children, adults, teams and organisations are always developing. Better Never Stops means staying curious, reflecting honestly, welcoming feedback and continually looking for ways to strengthen practice. It means resisting complacency and believing improvement is always possible.

We do not expect perfection. We do expect a commitment to learning and growth.

Be Clear, Be Kind, Be Brave

Warmth and honesty belong together.

Being clear means communicating expectations, boundaries and decisions openly. Being kind means recognising the humanity in others and treating people with dignity and respect. Being brave means having difficult conversations, addressing concerns and doing what is needed rather than what is easiest.

The strongest teams are not free from tension. They know how to work through it well.

Live Well

Flourishing matters.

We believe children deserve lives that include joy, connection, belonging, movement, adventure, purpose and meaning. Live Well means helping children build healthy rhythms of life and creating environments where people can thrive, not simply survive.

The lives we help children build should be lives worth living.

A LIVING COMMUNITY

We love our people.

Shared life. Shared purpose. Shared growth.

OUR MODEL

Relational developmental communities

We are developing relational developmental communities where adults, routines, relationships and community life are intentionally organised around children’s emotional growth and developmental progress.

This is our way of creating the conditions for children to flourish: relationships first, growth over time, and belonging through shared life.

OUTCOMES & IMPACT

The my tribe journey

The My Tribe Journey organises care around the developmental and emotional progression we hope children experience during their time with us.

Protected

Children experience physical, emotional and relational safety through predictable adults and environments.

Loved

Children begin to experience care as repeated adult action: warmth, repair, delight and consistency.

Rooted

Children develop belonging, identity, education, relationships and community connection.

Growing

Children begin to develop confidence, emotional regulation, curiosity, capability and belief in themselves.

Empowered

Children build independence, self-worth, aspiration and hope for adulthood.

Therapeutic Story

Sometimes the deepest change looks ordinary from the outside.

A young person walks nervously into an exam hall to sit her GCSEs alongside everyone else.

Nothing immediately marks the moment as extraordinary.

Except that before coming to us, she had not attended school for almost three years. Her life had become shaped by exploitation, instability and a profound sense of low self-worth.

Over time, through relationships within the home, tutoring, equestrian studies and repeated experiences of encouragement and belief, something slowly began to change.

The exam itself was not the achievement alone. The achievement was that she had begun to imagine a future she once could not see herself belonging within.

“Staff provide highly personalised therapeutic care that is carefully tailored to each child’s needs, identity and experiences. Warm, trusting and consistent relationships help children feel safe, valued and genuinely listened to. Leadership is strong and effective, and children make sustained and meaningful progress.”
